Das wird dann schon... wohl kaum! Kanada ist nicht Ibiza. Hier wartet man nicht auf deutsche Auswanderer, es gibt Entertainment genug! Selbstverständlich gibt es schon eine Möglichkeit - französisch lernen und nach Quebec gehen!
Und es ist wirklich keine Seltenheit, sich einem deutschen Auswanderer gegenüber zu finden, der behaarlich deutsche Wörter "einstreut" - bei meiner Arbeit im Baustoffhandel habe ich schon die tollsten Sachen erlebt. Sehr beliebt ist hierbei das allmähliche Steigern der Lautstärke - dazu sei gesagt dass die Kanadier meist nicht taub sind, sondern eben kein Deutsch sprechen... es hilft also auch nichts wenn man noch so laut brüllt dass man the paint in the SPRÜHDOSE will.

It'll come in time... hardly! Canada is not Ibiza. Nobody is waiting for German immigrants, there is enough entertainment here! Of course there is an alternative to learning English - learn French and move to Quebec!
It really does not come as an exception to find yourself talking to a German immigrant/ immigrant prospect who persistently mixes a few German words into his sentences. I have witnessed some pretty funny situations during my shifts at the building supplies store... like the German mechanic who came to BC to find a job and move his family here. He was in the store to buy a can of spray paint and had a really hard time explaining himself. So he kept talking louder and louder - in German, until my co-workers came and got me to translate.
So how well will that guy do settling his family and finding a job while yelling in German?
